Q & A

Yes! We can arrange for a free 15-minute phone consultation, and if you would like to go forward we can arrange to have an initial session. Once we have arranged our initial session, I will email you the details on how to find the room and what to do when you arrive, or I will email you TEAMS link for an online meeting. Also, I will let you how to pay for the session. The fee for the initial session is payable in advance.

The initial session, like all sessions, lasts 50 minutes. It is time set for you to share what brings you to therapy and how it has been impacting your life. It is also a time for voicing your expectations or any concerns you might have. The session is a chance for you to see if you would feel comfortable for us to work together. If we decide to work together, we can arrange a time for our regular sessions; if you are unsure, you can let me know over the following few days if you would like to continue with therapy.

My fees range from £80 to £100 for once-a-week 50-minute sessions whether they are remote (video) or face-to-face sessions, the same applies to the initial session. I also offer limited reduced-fee places for those on low incomes, which can be discussed during the initial call. Reduced fee for initial and ongoing sessions ranges from £50 to £60.
-
Committing to regular attendance is an important part of long-term psychotherapy. If you are unable to attend your session we can try to reshedule it during the same week, or we can hold the session online. As far as possible, I will try to accommodate your request. The full fee is payable for all missed sessions as the time has been reserved for you. You will not be charged for my absence.

Therapy works best when we have regular weekly sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place at the same time and in the same place which provides a sense of continuity to our work together. Throughout our sessions we will go at a pace and depth that you are comfortable with. As our work develops, your goals and needs may change. Whatever direction our work takes, I will offer an accepting and supportive environment.

I offer an open-ended psychotherapy. It is usually a long term work as we will aim to explore deeper layers of the personality and sources of troubling thoughts and behaviour. The length of therapy depends on individual needs.
The ending of therapy works best when it is a joint decision between us. Discussing it together is an important part of therapeutic process and may offer insights as to how you approach other endings in your life and relationships. Therefore, I ask for a four-week advance notice to end therapy.
